TV Coverage/Salem Info

We have just received a message from Rockingham Speedway about the airing of the Polar Bear 150 from Jan. 1st, 2010. It will be aired on Fox Sports South on March 5th and March 12th. No times were available.

We will have a Salem Entry Form out shortly. We are awaiting a final event schedule from ARCA and the speedway before we publish the forms.

RULE AMENDMENTS

Racers-I have been giving this some thought for the past several months. The success of our series relies solely on car counts. So I am making a few adjustments to help with the car counts and to clairfy some other points.

*362 cu. in. and smaller, 50 lb. weight break.

*No fresh air directed to the carburetor.

*Front of hood securly fastened and sealed tightly to nose piece at all times.

*Camaro nose pieces - The top and bottom must butt together. You may add a valence to get correct nose height. No adding to the middle of the nose pieces.

*602 Crate Motor will be allowed to compete with OEM specifications.
-650 Holley 80541-1 carburetor allowed
-OEM aluminum intake allowed
-Headers allowed, but must use 2 1/2" exhaust pipe behind headers and must exit in front of right rear tire and cannot be connected
-HEI distributor with RPM limiting module (MSD83645)
-No gear rule but must run designated RPM limit.
-Base weight for crate engine will be 3050 Lbs. All other weight penalties will apply.
-Subject to complete tear down or crate engine exchange!

I will reserve the right to change or adjust any of the rules at any time to enhance competition and car counts. I'd like to thank everyone for their input (even Waldo)!! Please keep the positive and constructive posts coming. Thanks, Frank
